Saturday morning and the team went to Lewisham to provide a Chocolate Fountain for an Achievement Awards ceremony. The ceremony was in a lovely hall that had been decorated with blue and gold balloons and fibre optic decorations. The food was provided by a Carabbean caterer and was delicious. The chocolate fountain was set up next to the bar, and was an immediate success! As guests were queuing up for their lunch, they were helping themselves to warm luxurious chocolate coated strawberries, donuts and Christmas shaped gingerbread. The young people were handed their awards by various dignitaries, and we had lots of good entertainment from dancers and rappers, and right at the end we were treated to singer J Sol who was ace! he sang some of his own songs and covered various other songs as well. During the ceremony we had two breaks and the Cocolate Fontain team were overrun with the guests wanting to fill up with jelly babies, fresh mango, pineapple and marshmallows, which were a definite favourite!

Recently chocolatefountainhire.com were asked to take a chocolate fountain to No 5 Cavendish Square in London for a party fror the staff of LG. It is a lovely venue with high ceiling and beautiful decor. We set up the chocolate fountain on a large round table in the bar area and quickly arranged our fresh lucious dips on the illumated surround that we lit up with a pale mauve. The fresh strawberries and melon were the most popular, dipped in the warm milk chocolate, but everything was enjoyed! The LG staff and guests had a good time, listening and dancing to the DJ and eating the canapés and of course, enjoying Chocolate Fountain Hire!

One of our most recent bookings took us to a television production company in the heart of London. It was Bee’s birthday party and what an amazing venue we were attending. One of the recording studios had been decorated in the theme of Charlie and the chocolate Factory complete with toadstools, giant lollipops, even all of the production staff were upa lumpas! The chocolate fountain was set up right in the heart of the party, the arrival of the guests included some rather interesting characters including the duo Chris and Wes – recent winners from sky 1 programme got to dance . The pair needed no encouragement in checking our the chocolate fountain and eating the luxury dipping items. I did ask if they would be doing a workout after eating the Belgium chocolate – however later on we were treated to a spontaneous dance routine which was quite amazing! Prompted by this the birthday did her own routine which im sure got the biggest cheers of the day! It was no mean feat dressed up in costume! Also entertaining the children with a magic show was Dom, who even apart from his side kick Richard ( Dick) from the legend of dick and dom entertained the children with a really fun magic show. With all this entertainment the chocolate fountain still proved really popular with the guests and parents alike, what more would you want in a willy wonka’s paradise the a large chocolate fountain flowing with luxury Belgium Chocolate!

On Sunday I did a Chocolate Fountain at my first ever Bat Mitzvah! I did not even know that girls had this Jewish ceremony so it was nice to be involved. I turned up at The Willow in Winchmore Hill, London which touts itself as ‘The Best Bar in London’ in plenty of time to haul my chocolate fountain up two flights of stairs to the party room. It was so pretty, all decorated in pink and purple with a beautiful array of cupcakes on a stand. I set up in a small room just off the main party room so that the party goer’s didn’t know I was there until the grand unveiling at 8.30pm. I have never seen teenagers move so fast!! I was besieged by boys and girls running in to eat my chocolate and dips. In a very short time, I was topping up donuts and profiteroles as fast as I could and adding more chocolate to the machine! They ate loads!!! And there was chocolate everywhere!! Many baby wipes were used mopping up chocolate from pretty party frocks and smart jeans. It was a great party with really delicious food (I just love buffet food!!) and a purple non-alcoholic cocktail made especially for the occasion! The party guests than danced and sang their way to 10.30 when their carriages (i.e. parents!) arrived to take them home. A really enjoyable evening, and the best way to spend a Sunday evening!

The Chocolate Fountain Hire team went on a trip to The Natural History Museum on Saturday, but not to be educational, oh no!! We went to build 4 Fruit Palm Trees for a 1st Birthday party!! What a place to have an event! We were situated in the Main Hall underneath the T-Rex who was lit up with blue lights. We had 2 1/2 hours to build 4 Fruit Palm Trees so we were up against it time wise, but we pulled it off! We had cored out 48 pineapples, cut up 20 melons, peeled 10 bags of satsumas, sliced 10 packs of kiwi. We were set up on the desert table which was laden with delicious deserts from a local patisserie, and a large chocolate fountain took pride of place in the middle. Our Fruit Palm Trees with their real palm leaves protruding from the top made the table look extra special. The guests were treated to champagne on arrival and delicious curries all prepared by Curry Special. They were entertained by belly dancers, Asian male dancers, a live jazz group and acrobats! After eating their way through most of the delicious fruits on the trees they went on to dancing until early morning!

With this in mind one of our recent events too us to a village in Heartfordshire just north of London. We were booked as desert to celebrate a 60th birthday party as desert after guests helped themselves to a wonderfull buffet.

We like to say proof is in the pudding and that point was proved with our guests happy making use of the chocolate fountain and dipping items and treated to an afternoon of acoustic guitar music. Our only pause in the afternoon was to sing happy birthday, then the guests were straight back to the fountain. At the end of the party there were lots of happily full up guests!

At chocolatefountainhire.com we pride ourselves and being adaptable and not being put off by adversity. With that in mind and the recent weather conditions were not enough for us to be put off from making the trip from Salisbury in Wiltshire to Bromley in South east London. The event did suffer from a venue change as the club were not able to guarantee the safety of attending guests. So it was to the mome of the birthday girl that we travelled, across some quite hazadourous motorways with car abandoned everywhere parts of the M3 in Hampshire seem to resemble a car park more than a motorway. I can honestly say that the governments advice not to travel was a sensible one, however my reason came under essential heading as not to let the birthday girl down.

Upton arrival the fountain was set up and running in no time with the luxurious Belgium chocolate flowing guests were treated to a selection of luxurious dips which included organic strawberries, luxury cream filled profiteroles, meringues, fudge, brownies and many more. Even though the venue for the party was much smaller it did not detract from everyone having fun, even the DJ and tribute act managed to perform with ease.

The Chocolate Fountain Hire team are just big kids at heart. So when we were asked to provide a chocolate fountain in London to celebrate the end of a month-long, tropical themed summer event at Hamleys Toy Store, you’d have thought they’d given us the front door keys – we were so excited!

The prolific London toy shop based on Regent Street is currently celebrating it’s 250th birthday (and if this blogs taught us anything, it’s that noting says Happy Birthday like a chocolate fountain does!). Two hundred and fifty years of providing some of the worlds finest toys? That’s no mean feat. Every major toy brand has been stocked by Hamleys, entertaining generations and generations of youngsters in London and the UK. The Chocolate Fountain Hire team were in the presence of true celebrity recently, or celebrities by pixel standards, as we provided chocolate fountain’s in London for the Hammond’s LLP Pre-Premiere screening of Toy Story 3D! Over 150 priveledged guests were invited to the Saturday morning event at London’s swanky Mayfair Hotel, and were greeted by childrens’ entertainers, a sweet stand, hatmaking workshops and the opportunity to have their photo’s snapped with Buzz and Woody. Chocolate Fountain Hire would be lying if we said we didn’t consider angling for an autograph!

But we had more pressing matters at hand. With our two mini milk chocolate fountain’s and towering 7ft fruit palm tree display, the London guests were treated to plentyof tasty treats and a visual spectacle from our tropical display.

Organised by Hammond LLP and one of London’s leading childrens’ party organisers, this event was certainly unforgettable, and that was before the guests had even gone in to see the film! Toy Story 3D is soon due for a general release, but the early screening was a huge treat for the lucky youngsters in London.
