Chocolate and sweets for surprise party in Epsom

Recently on a nice sunny day chocolate fountain hire took the trip to Epsom. Not for a day at the races but to provide a pick and mix sweet stand and a chocolate fountain. We arrived to find a catering company set up in the garden to provide burgers and  such for the guests whilst the chocolate fountain and  pick and  mix sweet stand was  to be dessert. We set  up the  pick and  mix stand  first in one of the bedrooms. The stand contains 20 varieties of sweets with scoops and  sweet shop bags for guests to make their selection and take away and  enjoy. Next came the chocolate fountain, this was set up an an adjacent bedroom which was  normally the weights room – we  think chocolate fountain are more fun than weights anyway! We set up quickly as there was  a hosts of guests eager to make a start.

The  party was a surprise 40th and  the birthday boy was indeed surprised to see so many guests at his home – some having driven from all parts of the country. In no time at all the fountain was flowing with Belgium milk chocolate and the  guests we sampling the chocolate with the array of dipping items  that we provided including strawberries, mini doughnuts, cream filled profiteroles, marshmallows and  meringues to name but a few. During the day guests young and  not so young popped into the house to sample the chocolate and of course make use of the pick and  mix sweets (lots of smiling faces were seen!) As the time came for us to pack up and leave Epsom with lots of happy faces due to the chocolate and sweet consumption.

Chocolate Fountain Hire at Chocolate Lovers in Hemel Hempstead

Chocolate Fountain Hire at Chocolate Lovers in Hemel Hempstead

On a brighter than normal Saturday in May the Chocolate Fountain Hire team travelled to the stunning venue of Boxmoor Lodge on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead.  We were providing our stunning 5 tier Belgian Chocolate Fountain as a desert at the reception of Katie and Luke’s Wedding. The marquee was stunningly decorated in purple and ivory with an arch of ribbons and balloons. We arrived after dinner and set up next to the bar area. Within minutes the smell of delicious melted chocolate was filling the room, the youngest guests were desperate for a taste! The Bride and Groom wanted to be the first to try the Chocolate Fountain and after many photographs of just the impressive fountain they were snapped tasting the scrummy treats.  The bride then helped the youngest guests offering them chocolate covered marshmallows and strawberries.

The remaining guests then took the cue and tucked in, with chocolate brownies, fudge and freshly sliced strawberries being devoured, drenched in delicious melted chocolate! After the tasting the stunning bride and groom took their positions on the dance floor for the first dance. During this and the following songs a videographer was recording messages for the newly married couple. The DJ and dancers took a break while a live singer took over and wowed the guests with his vocal talents. The guests were then treated to a delicious finger buffet including yummy homemade sausage rolls! After a few more dips the guests then went back to dancing the night away with the happy couple!

Shrek tacular Green Fountain at Shrek the Musical’s1st Anniversary Party

Shrek tacular Green Fountain at Shrek the Musical’s1st Anniversary Party

We at  chocolate fountain hire were very very excited to be asked to provide a green fountain for the first anniversary of the Musical Shrek!  The theatre in Drury Lane were holding a free party on Saturday 5th May to celebrate the occasion. There was face painting, gingerbread decorating, flag drawing and lots of other fun things! The green chocolate  fountain was very popular and before long we had a queue of guests eager to sample the strawberries, pineapple, profiteroles, donuts and chocolate brownies. The children were intrigued to know why the chocolate was green and we told them it was swamp water and they loved it!!!!!

It was of course just white chocolate dyed with organic food colouring! The three little pigs, and the big bad Wolf, and the Sugar Plum Fairy all came to say hi and sample the chocolate. Shrek, Donkey and Princess Fiona never made it upstairs because they were overrun with fans wanting their photo taken! It was a great event and good fun to meet some of the cast. Here’s to Shrek The Musical making it to a second anniversary!

Sathiyan weds Thanila in Croydon with a Fruity treat

Sathiyan weds Thanila in Croydon with a Fruity treat

Chocolate Fountain Hire is a popular wedding treat all year round and what more could you ask for on Easter Sunday. We were booked to help celebrate the wedding of Sathiyan and Thanila in Croydon. The venue was dressed beautifully in purple and gold and the bride looked stunning in a purple gown encrusted with gold. All the tables were adorned with fresh flowers and purple organza. We provided a chocolate fountain and a medium fruit palm tree. A medium tree stands 3 ft tall and contains approximately 375 pieces of delicious fresh fruit! The fruit which is water melon, cantaloupe melon, satsumas, strawberries, kiwi fruit and pineapple, is cut into bite size pieces and stuck onto a ‘tree’ of cored out pineapples. The tree then has real palm leaves arranged in the top. The end result is stunning and tastes great!  The guests very soon discovered how delicious it was, and it was stripped bare very quickly, just what we like to see!

Exhibitors have a tasty time at the Earls Court business travel show

Earls Court in London was the destination for the Chocolate Fountain Team on a Monday afternoon in February, and the Business Travel Show. We had been asked to provide a chocolate fountain for KDS, a company that provides software for your travel and expense needs. We set the fountain and table up on Monday afternoon when the stands were all being built. All major stand building must take place the day before the event and we are old hands at finding our way around half built exhibition halls! With the fresh chocolate in the fountain on a timer ready to be melted when we came in on Tuesday, we left ! When we arrived first thing Tuesday morning the hall looked completely different! Lots of beautiful colourful stands, with new carpet laid everywhere and suited ladies and gentlemen waiting to talk to you about their products. We were a massive hit! Everyone loved the fountain and we were kept very busy topping up the dips, whilst the guys were buy chatting to their prospective buyers! Everyone remarked that it was the best stand there!

Prize Chocolate Fountain for Achievement Awards in Lewisham

Saturday morning and the team went to Lewisham to provide a Chocolate Fountain for an Achievement Awards ceremony. The ceremony was in a lovely hall that had been decorated with blue and gold balloons and fibre optic decorations. The food was provided by a Caribbean caterer and was delicious. The chocolate fountain was set up next to the bar, and was an immediate success! As guests were queuing up for their lunch, they were helping themselves to warm luxurious chocolate coated strawberries, donuts and Christmas shaped gingerbread. The young people were handed their awards by various dignitaries, and we had lots of good entertainment from dancers and rappers, and right at the end we were treated to singer J Sol who was ace! he sang some of his own songs and covered various other songs as well. During the ceremony we had two breaks and the Chocolate Fountain team were overrun with the guests wanting to fill up with jelly babies, fresh mango, pineapple and marshmallows, which were a definite favourite!

Recently chocolatefountainhire.com were asked to take a chocolate fountain to No 5 Cavendish Square in London for a party for the staff of LG. It is a lovely venue with high ceiling and beautiful decor. The fresh strawberries and melon were the most popular, dipped in the warm milk chocolate, but everything was enjoyed! The LG staff and guests had a good time, listening and dancing to the DJ and eating the canapés and of course, enjoying Chocolate Fountain Hire!

Birthday Party Chocolate Fountain Hire in London

Birthday Party Chocolate Fountain Hire in London

One of chocolate fountain hire’s most recent bookings took us to a television production company in the heart of London. It was Bee’s birthday party and  what an amazing venue  we were attending. One of the recording studios had  been decorated  in the  theme of Charlie and  the chocolate Factory complete with toadstools, giant  lollipops, even all of the production staff were upa lumpas! The  chocolate fountain was set up right in the heart of the  party, the  arrival of the guests  included  some rather  interesting characters including the duo Chris and Wes – recent winners from sky 1  programme got to dance .

The pair needed no encouragement in checking our the chocolate fountain and eating the  luxury dipping items. I did ask if they would be  doing a workout after eating the  Belgium chocolate – however later  on we were treated  to a spontaneous dance  routine which was quite amazing! Prompted by this  the  birthday did her own routine which im sure got the biggest cheers of the day! It was  no mean feat dressed up in costume! Also entertaining the children with a magic show was Dom, who even apart from his side kick Richard ( Dick) from the legend of dick and dom  entertained  the children with a really fun magic show. With all this entertainment  the chocolate fountain still proved really popular with the guests and parents  alike, what more would you want in a willy wonka’s paradise than a large chocolate fountain flowing with luxury Belgium Chocolate!

Bat Mitzvah in London Bar

Bat Mitzvah in London Bar

On Sunday I did a Chocolate Fountain at my first ever Bat Mitzvah!  I did not even know that girls had this Jewish ceremony so it was nice to be involved. I turned up at The Willow in Winchmore Hill, London which touts itself as ‘The Best Bar in London’ in plenty of time to haul my chocolate fountain up two flights of stairs to the party room. It was so pretty, all decorated in pink and purple with a beautiful array of cupcakes on a stand. I set up in a small room just off the main party room so that the party goer’s didn’t know I was there until the grand unveiling at 8.30pm. I have never seen teenagers move so fast!!

I was besieged by boys and girls running in to eat my chocolate and dips. In a very short time, I was topping up donuts and profiteroles as fast as I could and adding more chocolate to the machine! They ate loads!!! And there was chocolate everywhere!!  Many baby wipes were used mopping up chocolate from pretty party frocks and smart jeans. It was a great party with really delicious food (I just love buffet food!!) and a purple non-alcoholic cocktail made especially for the occasion! The party guests than danced and sang their way to 10.30 when their carriages (i.e. parents!)  arrived to take them home. A really enjoyable evening, and the best way to spend a Sunday evening!

Fruit Palm Tree Hire in the Natural History Museum

Fruit Palm Tree Hire in the Natural History Museum

The Chocolate Fountain Hire team went on a trip to The Natural History Museum on Saturday, but not to be educational, oh no!!  We went to build 4 Fruit Palm Trees for a 1st Birthday party!! What a place to have an event! We were situated in the Main Hall underneath the T-Rex who was lit up with blue lights. We had 2 1/2 hours to build 4 Fruit Palm Trees so we were up against it time wise, but we pulled it off!  We had cored out 48 pineapples, cut up 20 melons, peeled 10 bags of satsumas, sliced 10 packs of kiwi.

We were set up on the desert table which was laden with delicious deserts from a local patisserie, and a large chocolate fountain took pride of place in the middle. Our Fruit Palm Trees with their real palm leaves protruding from the top made the table look extra special. The guests were treated to champagne on arrival and delicious curries all prepared by Curry Special. They were entertained by belly dancers, Asian male dancers, a live jazz group and acrobats! After eating their way through most of the delicious fruits on the trees they went on to dancing until early morning!
