Wedding reception soldiers on at Warminster

The picturesque village of Longbridge Deverill on the outskirts of Warminster was the destination for chocolate fountain hire for the wedding of Sophie and Peter. The George Hotel was the venue for the wonderful red and ivory themed reception. After the guest enjoyed a delicious dinner they were treated to our beautiful chocolate fountain. Sooty, Sweep and Soo too all love the chocolate fountain

When chocolate fountain hire were asked to provide a chocolate fountain for The Sooty show in Central London, we all started reminiscing about naughty Sweep and sensible Soo and the whispering Sooty that we used to watch of old. The team of Sooty, Sweep and Soo now all live with Richard Cadell. The chocolate fountain was needed for a party being held after the 11 am performance. We arrived in the Garrick theatre in the west end and set up the chocolate fountain in the lounge whilst the show was going on. At the end of the show  the invited guests were  treated to a reception which included drinks, and adult sized sooty, our chocolate fountain and of course Richard Cadell with sooty. It didn’t take long for guests  to tuck into the chocolate fountain, with marshmallows being amongst the favourite to dip into the chocolate fountain and even sooty managed  to test a strawberry dipped into the Belgium chocolate flowing through the chocolate fountain!

Birthday Party gathering at Regents Park Barracks

At Chocolate Fountain Hire we like all sorts of events, but our favourite ones are family gatherings, and recently we were invited to provide a milk chocolate fountain for a 50th birthday party celebration that was also a pre Christmas family and friends gathering. Our booking took us to the Officers Mess at the Regents Park Barracks in London. Upon arrival we set up the chocolate fountain in the lounge area in time to have the chocolate fountain ready for when the party guests arrived. The room was decorated in true Christmas style complete with a large Christmas tree and presents, and the guests were served canapes and drinks before their main meal. The chocolate fountain was intended to be the dessert, however some of the guests had some before the meal, all in the interest of quality control of course! With the end of the meal, guests were eager to test the chocolate fountain. I am sure some guests actually ran for the fountain! We provided a selection of dipping items that included meringues, mini doughnuts, cream profiteroles, marshmallows, strawberries and mango. By far the favourite item at the party were cream profiteroles. When dipped into the chocolate fountain the warm of the chocolate combining with the cold of the cream is a really nice taste. Speeches and  cutting of the birthday cake signalled the end of the party and in no time at all it was time to pack up and leave London for a few days at least!

Lights Dim on chocolate fountain and fruit palm tree at army party

Recently chocolate fountain hire were asked to provide a large chocolate fountain and fruit palm tree for an army mess function Christmas party. We made the trip to Aldershot in hampshire  allowing plenty of time to make the fruit palm tree and set up the fountain. When we arrived the guest were eating their starters so we set up the fountain then began to make the fruit palm tree. This was made more interesting by the power cut however this didnt deter us, whilst the guests ate their starters by candle light we  made the fruit palm tree also by candle light! Eventually power was restored and guests soon made their way to the chocolate fountain, which was  provided with a vast array of dipping items and  also the fruit palm tree which looked very fetching with its palm leaves swaying as guests removed the fresh fruit that we had prepared. The fruit from the palm tree can either be eaten from its cocktail stick or dipped into the chocolate fountain and  eaten with a lovely coating of Belgium chocolate.

The ceremony was in a lovely hall that had been decorated with blue and gold balloons and fibre optic decorations. The food was provided by a Carabbean caterer and was delicious. The chocolate fountain was set up next to the bar, and was an immediate success! As guests were queuing up for their lunch, they were helping themselves to warm luxurious chocolate coated strawberries, donuts and Christmas shaped gingerbread. The young people were handed their awards by various dignitaries, and we had lots of good entertainment from dancers and rappers, and right at the end we were treated to singer J Sol who was ace! he sang some of his own songs and covered various other songs as well. During the ceremony we had two breaks and the Cocolate Fontain team were overrun with the guests wanting to fill up with jelly babies, fresh mango, pineapple and marshmallows, which were a definite favourite!

Strawberriers and chocolate at the Barclays ATP Tennis Tournemount

Here at the chocolate fountain hire team, we were very excited to be asked to provide a fountain in the Barclays Premier Lounge in the O2 arena for the duration of the ATP tennis Tournemount! We of course jumped at the chance to go to the 02 arena.  The ATP tennis is sponseered by Barclays who have a permanent lounge area in the O2 entertainment avenue and they had invited their premier customers to come and have a coffee or Winter Pimms, listen to Andrew Castle comment on the days tennis and eat delicious chocolate! We were to do two sessions a day, 11am to 2pm, the 5pm to 8pm. The idea was that at Wimbeldon one ate strawberries and cream, and drank Pimms, so at the ATP one ate strawberries and chocolate and drank warm Winter Pimms, clever aa ? It was a huge success, with customers coming back twice in a day to sample our delicious chocolate fondue, with fresh strawberries. For more information about the Barclays ATP Tennis finals please click here

Happy Feet Get Dancing at Ice Party

The Chocolate Fountain team was thrilled to be asked to provide a large white chocolate fountain for the premiere of Happy Feet 2. We were very excited as a Happy Feet is a firm favourite with our kids (not to mention us!) We arrived at the Grand Connaught Rooms to discover it had been transformed into a beautiful white, icy wonderland. The flooring had been turned white, there were igloos and icebergs and snowballs everywhere. There was a ‘pick a penguin’ pond, learn to dance like Mumbles, build your own ice cream sundae, balloon modelling, create your own penguin shaped biscuit, not to mention mulled wine and canapés for the grown-ups, and of course, the centerpiece, the beautiful White ChocolateFfountain. It looked stunning situated right in the middle of the room. The dips, marshmallows, strawberries, brownies, grapes, melon, mango, profiteroles and donuts all looked luscious and inviting on their white square china bowls and plates. The guests, kids and adults alike went wild for the chocolate and we were kept very busy for the duration of the party topping up the dips and chocolate and helping everybody to dip the good things into the gorgeous chocolate! We had a couple of stars at the fountain including Robin Williams who was the voice of  Ramon and Lovelace and the Charlie Brooks who plays Janine Butcher in the soap Eastenders. But the biggest stars there were Mumbles and Erik who appeared in person (or penguin!!) . It was a brilliant party and at 2.30pm when everyone departed to go and watch the film we were left tired but very happy to meet the stars of Happy Feet 2
